Terms of Service
These terms describe the service, your responsibilities, and the limits of a private messaging tool.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using mysecret.chat, you agree to these Terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the service if you cannot legally agree to them in your country. Do not create an account for another person without permission.
2. The service
mysecret.chat provides intentional one-to-one, group and time-limited invited messaging. It does not provide a public directory or random stranger matching. Available message types may include text, files, photos, voice messages, reactions and stickers. Features can change to maintain security, reliability or legal compliance.
The iOS app does not include a cryptocurrency wallet, crypto payments, transaction signing, blockchain balances, or voice/video calls.
3. Your account and devices
- Choose a lawful username and keep passwords, recovery material and unlocked devices secure.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your authenticated account unless you promptly report compromise.
- Do not sell, rent, automate or transfer accounts or invite links to bypass restrictions.
- Updates may be required to keep compatible security and message formats.
4. Messages, encryption and recipient copies
You keep responsibility for content you send. Message payloads are encrypted and signed on the sender’s device before relay, but the service still processes routing and delivery metadata. Encryption cannot stop a recipient from copying, photographing, exporting or reporting content. Do not send anything you are not entitled to share.
Time-limited or disappearing messages are a convenience, not a guarantee that every copy will disappear.
5. Acceptable use
You must follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, do not use mysecret.chat for exploitation, credible threats, targeted harassment, hate-based abuse, non-consensual sexual content, scams, malware, spam, doxxing, illegal trade, intellectual-property infringement, or interference with the service.
6. Safety reports and enforcement
You can report and block abusive users. Reporting shares only the evidence and context you choose: it is encrypted for the designated safety moderator, who can read it for investigation. Blocking immediately stops direct interaction with that account and hides its direct conversation on your device. Do not file knowingly false or abusive reports.
The operator maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Reports are reviewed promptly and violations are acted on within 24 hours, including removal of reported material from service delivery and removal of the responsible user where appropriate. Enforcement can include warnings, delivery, invite or group restrictions, suspension, or account deletion. Serious or repeated violations may be escalated when required or permitted by law.
7. Availability and security
No communication service is guaranteed to be uninterrupted or immune from device compromise, software defects, network outages or recipient actions. Protect your device and verify contact-key fingerprints when identity assurance matters. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through the verified support channel at mysecret.chat/support.
8. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account inside the app. Deletion removes active server account data as described in the Account Deletion guide; rotating application backups may retain a prior state for up to 7 days. Signing out or deleting local app data is different from deleting the server account.
9. Changes and termination
Material changes should be announced before they take effect when reasonably possible. You may stop using the service and delete your account. The operator may restrict an account for a material breach, security threat, legal requirement or sustained service abuse, using proportionate steps where feasible.
10. Contact
Operator: Victor Eliot, sole trader (IČO 08514127), Svahová 984/18, 360 01 Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. For support, safety reports you cannot file in the app, legal notices or vulnerability reports, email [email protected]. Do not send passwords, private keys or recovery keys. See Support.
